Are HID Headlights Legal In Alberta?
Yes, HID Headlights are legal in Alberta.
As long as there are no violations of the Traffic Safety Act Vehicle Equipment Regulation.
This also assumes they are being used and installed correctly and with the appropriate housing.

The section that mostly applies to this discussion is Division 1: Headlamps sections 6(1) to 6(5).
Most issues with HID bulbs arise from using them incorrectly, such as using them in reflective housings and housings that are the wrong size.
