Alberta has a 3 stage process to get your drivers license. The first stage is the class 7 learner.
This stage has the most restrictions, as these are the most inexperienced drivers in the process.
Can a class 7 learners have passengers?
The Class 7 Learner can have passengers, as ling as the number of passengers does not exceed the number of seatbelts.
The class 7 learner has many other restrictions, such as not being able to drive after midnight, and always needing a class 5 driver in the passenger seat.
Once the Class 7 graduates to the Class 5 GDL, many of those restrictions and limitations drop off.
In Summary
- A Class 7 Learners license holder can drive with passengers, as long as the number of passengers does not exceed the number of seatbelts in the vehicle.
- Class 7 is the first Stage of 3 stages. This is the most restrictive step.
