Yes you can cross a road, highway, walkway etc. with your ATV or other off highway vehicle. As long as the following criteria is met:
- Driver must completely stop.
- All passengers have to get off.
- Remove all vehicles and things attached to it.
- Driver must always yield to vehicles and people on the roadway, highway, walkway etc.
- Driver must take the most direct route possible to complete the crossing.

You do not need a license to drive an ATV or other off highway vehicle in Alberta. The only exception is when you are driving on a road or highway legally. Refer to the quote above for exceptions.
How Old do You Have to be to Drive an ATV in Alberta?
14 years old is the minimum age to drive an ATV on public lands and highways where permitted. If under 14, you must have someone at least 18 years old on the same ATV or very close by. There is no age requirement to drive an ATV on private land.
